Required Skills:
ï‚· Responsible for daily shift-wise production planning
ï‚· To maintain target production output with rejection controls and quality.
ï‚· To monitor the production process and re-schedule, whenever required.
ï‚· Responsible for inventory control during the shift
ï‚· Responsible for manpower utilization during the shift
ï‚· To maintain shift-wise production data in terms of quantity produced,% rejections, down-time,
Material consumption, power consumption.
ï‚· To take measures to decrease the operating cost.
ï‚· To minimise total downtime due to various factors
ï‚· To implement quality guidelines, tools, techniques etc
ï‚· To identify new improved processes for productivity improvement
ï‚· To co-ordinate with maintenance staff for break-down and preventive maintenance of furnace
ï‚· To ensure proper furnace lining as and when done
ï‚· To implement safety guidelines in the department
ï‚· To ensure proper house-keeping in the department
ï‚· To deal efficiently with the labour in the department
